We don’t want to lose touch with our former juniors when they leave Cambridge for University, so we have developed an ‘Away-Student’ membership which welcomes away-students back to the Club during University holidays. We’d also like to welcome other Cambridge scullers who are away during term-time but would like to keep up their sculling during the holidays.

The membership fee of £100 offers you:

• the use of Club sculling boats – we will advise which would be most suitable for you and when they are available
• the opportunity to ‘drop in’ on squad sessions
• access to coaching when available – coaches will charge their own rates
• support in attending races on behalf of RRBC
• the opportunity to take part in Bumps – subject to the Bumps eligibility rules
• access to our ergos
• training with members of your former sculling squads
• continuing updates on Rob Roy successes
• invitations to all Rob Roy racing and social events

There are several local races which take place during University holidays, for example:

• Great Ouse Marathon
• Cambridge Autumn Regatta

• Cambridge Christmas Head (fancy dress)

• Bedford IVs and Small Boats

• Bumps
• St Neots Regatta
• Peterborough Summer Regatta
