Women's Rowing

Rob Roy Boat Club Women’s Squad

The Women’s Squad is a friendly group of scullers of all ages and abilities from near-beginners to those racing competitively and training hard 6-7 times a week, all fitting their training around their work and family schedules. For those who can make them, and particularly those new to sculling, we have group water sessions at weekends.

We may be the club for you if:

  • You want access to good quality small boats
  • You are an independent and competent sculler who can’t commit to regular crew outings
  • You are a competent sweep rower who wants to learn to scull

We are building an U23 women’s squad which includes provision for competent scullers (including former members of our Junior Squad) who may be away at university or working elsewhere, who want to continue their training in the holidays or at weekends or want to get together for races with other Rob Roy members.

If you are looking to learn to scull from scratch, we suggest you sign up for a Learn to Row course with www.cambridgerowing.co.uk, our sister organisation which specialises in intensive courses for novices.
